Great puppy consultation with this very lively working line Cocker Spaniel. Ensuring the right amount of mental stimulation and exercise is so important particularly with working dogs in a pet environment as well as ensuring they have a good routine with boundaries. Meet Otis the rescue. Otis’s human companions needed help dealing with him becoming little reactive and snappy. We suggested a new routine and introducing new boundaries and rewarding positive behaviour.

Meet Flo the enthusiastic 12 month old German Shepherd. Like most young Shepherds Flo is pushing the boundaries on things like pulling on the lead, lunging to say hello and jumping up. With the the correct equipment, guidance, boundaries and timely rewards she can be supported through this adolescent stage. Great session with this confident girl and her human companions.

Meet Pepsi the very sweet working Cocker Spaniel pup seen here relaxing after a home consultation to iron out a couple of adolescent issues. Even with good boundaries it must not be under estimated how much exercise and stimulation “working line” dogs need.

Meet Bruno the working line German Shepherd. Bruno’s human companions got in touch to seek help with his lead work and being a little reactive. He was very responsive during his first session but as a working line Shepherd needs to be occupied and set challenges. Great lad, looking forward to seeing him develop.

Meet Winston the young Dachshund. His human companions needed a little help with his excessive barking and reactiveness. In his home consultation we focused on switching him out of his barking with distraction and reward as well as modifying his home environment. Great start and looking for to the next time I see him where we will be going out. Real world dog training.

Meet Mable the 8 month old Doberman. Mable’s human companions needed help with her excessive mouthing and play biting. A change of training methods were needed as nothing had worked as well as confident leadership skills and I’m pleased to hear there has been a great improvement so no quick fix but work in progress.

Meet Bertie the 20 month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Having had a disrupted early life after being in a couple of homes his human companions needed a little help with his separation anxiety. Now with a different approach hopefully he will soon become more settled.
