Dogs Wanted
Canine Associated Services is actively seeking working line Spaniels, Labradors, German Shepherds, and Malinois for specialist retraining as detection and general purpose working dogs. If you have a high-energy, ball-driven dog, we may have the perfect opportunity to give them a fulfilling new role in life.
Dogs Wanted for Specialist Search and Detection Training
We are looking for confident, energetic dogs between 7 and 24 months old to be retrained as:
- Narcotics Detection Dogs
- Explosives Detection Dogs
- Bedbug Detection Dogs
- Tobacco and Contraband Detection Dogs
- General Purpose Working Dogs (including patrol and protection roles)
At Canine Associated Services, we provide structured, professional training to transform lively and unruly dogs into high-performing operational search dogs.
Giving Rescue Dogs a New Lease on Life
We often collaborate with trusted organisations such as Labrador Rescue and Spaniel Rescue to identify “ball-obsessed,” confident dogs who are ideal candidates for detection work. Our training programme helps ensure these dogs live happy, active lives with experienced handlers who value their working abilities.
Life After Training
Once training is successfully completed:
- Dogs will live with their handlers as part of their operational working lives.
- They will receive continued development and care in a loving, structured environment.
If your young Spaniel, Labrador, German Shepherd, Malinois – or a similar working breed -has lots of drive, excess energy, or challenging behaviours (but not aggressive), we would love to hear from you.
Contact us today to discuss your dog’s potential future as a specialist working dog.
What Happens If a Dog Doesn’t Meet Our Standards?
Not every dog will be suited for the high standards required of operational working dogs. If a dog is not suitable for search or general purpose work:
- They will be trained as well-mannered foundation pets
- We will carefully rehome them into suitably vetted, loving homes
Our priority is ensuring every dog finds the right path—whether that’s an exciting working career or a happy family home.
