When to start training your puppy or dog

Puppy training classesYour puppy or dog must be in good health and we need to see current vaccination records from a licenced vet before we evaluate him. Once you’ve completed our free pre-enrolment evaluation, our certified trainers will inform you whether or not your puppy or dog is ready for training.

Effective Puppy Training

An early start can help to prevent any future behaviour problems: we recommend your puppy starts our puppy classes between the ages of 8 and 16 weeks.

Puppies should start classes as close to eight weeks of age as possible, and no later than 14 weeks of age.

Puppy training begins the moment you bring your new puppy home and our puppy preschool will assist you in raising a well-mannered family pet. At CAS, we’ll show you how to influence and shape the behaviour of your growing puppy. You’ll learn how to understand your puppy’s needs, establish effective communication, curb behaviour problems and socialise your new pet properly.

If you’d like to know more about our puppy training classes, call us on 07879846534 or 01227 365136 or email canineassociatedservices@outlook.com

Dogs and the law

Dangerously uncontrolled dogs are a menace to other dogs, their owners and the general public.

You need to be aware of where you and your dog stand in terms of the law and how to comply with the regulations.

More

‘No’ means ‘no’

If your dog behaves like a jumping jack, runs off at any opportunity, and ignores all your commands, obedience training classes will make your life a whole lot easier – and enable you and your pet to have more fun together.

Choosing a breed

Before you make the big decision to buy a dog, there are a number of questions you should ask yourself and the other members of your family to make sure you get the right pet for your lifestyle and budget.
