Dog Training Testimonials

Some recent feedback from our clients:

Would highly recommend Martyn, he has helped us with our little shihtzu cross and his jumping and biting at me when I’m leaving the house, within days my dog is a calm happy dog and allows me leave without any fuss!!

Helen Daniels

Excellent guidance and support with our dog Nellie. Showing us how to give her positive reinforcement with her quirks and is now totally manageable. A great man and we highly recommend his service

Tracy Homden

Had a really enjoyable experience taking our 18 week old puppy Barney to CAS. Learnt lots of new training techniques and also started him off with some low level agility. Barney really enjoyed it and will be coming back again!

 Abigail Godden

Martyn has a calm and encouraging approach and working with him on the challenges I was experiencing with our anxious Dalmatian has given me great confidence to continue with her training and socialising.

 Joanna Caller

He is by far the best trainer I’ve ever worked with. My dogs behaviour has been terrible to the point I became unable to walk them on my own as I couldn’t handle their strength and they were hurting me. I’m on my second session and today not only did Martyn walk my 2 dogs singlehandedly with no issues and them both walking to heel but tonight on my own practising our work, I walked the boys individually and they both actually walked to heel the whole time. I’m beyond amazed at the results we have achieved in such little time and I’d strongly recommend Martyn to anyone. On top of walking I have much calmer dogs which is reducing my stress levels majorly. He is by far worth his weight in gold. 100% book with him you’d be amazed what you can achieve.

Zoe Newport

We rescued a snappy frightened dog with many issues. Martyn put us on the right track with no problem being too small. He was contactable after our meeting at no expense and I felt reassured as I was able to talk through issues as they arose. Can’t praise highly enough.

5 stars
Martyn has been amazing to work with, not just from the point of view he has helped us take back control of our very much over loved dog!! But with also helping us and Lita (yes the dog) in gaining back some confidence to be able to move forward and be able to take pleasure in walking her once more. Cannot thank him enough for the hard work and support he has given us all. Thank you so much. We can now all enjoy going out again.

Mirjana Scott

Martyn has the skills and knowledge to enable your dog to be the best he or she can. He passes on his skills with professionalism and techniques that are easy to implement.
Highly recommend.

Virginia Scadeng

Martyn is calm, professional and has a natural way when dealing with dogs. After just a couple of sessions and taking away some good tips, we feel more confident with walking our boy and correcting him when needed so that he learns to be less reactive on lead. He barks a couple of times and moves on for the most part which is huge progress in comparison to when we first took on our rescue. Martyn highlighted the importance of setting boundaries and teaching Nimbus that we are in charge at home not him which we have been implementing with success. Thank you!

Leila Zintilis

So, so pleased with the service we have received from Martyn. He is really friendly and approachable and very knowledgeable where dogs are concerned. After 2 sessions our dogs have made so much progress with recall and aggression issues and we are sure they will continue to improve using the advice and lessons from Martyn. 5* service and worth every penny.

Dan Martin

Amazing. Help our German Shepard with her lead aggression and pulling on the lead. Highly recommend to anyone.

Vickie Potter

Whole heartedly recommend Martyn. We adopted our third dog (second rescue) in November and the dynamics of our pack totally shifted. Shylo – first rescue – decided her job was to protect the new pup and would launch herself at other dogs. Harley – our new puppy – thought other dogs were there to jump on and often looked like she was taking off! Walks became fractious and less enjoyable. Martyn gave us the tools, techniques and confidence to get the two youngsters walking to heel – calmly!!! (See the video). Thoroughly enjoy walking them now and I’m not so anxious.

Kallie Heyburn

After 3 sessions with Martyn, Minnie is doing really well now. No pulling on the lead anymore. She is staying back away from the front door when people leave so no more great escapes so far! Doing really well with recall too. Very glad to have Martyn round to get us on the right track with her, some great advice and extremely pleased with the change in her so far. Thanks Martyn.

Fiona Oliveira

We had been having major problems with our 7 month old GSD unable to walk her without her biting our legs and barking at us. we booked a session in and the difference though just 1 session is unbelievable. we can now walk our dog with no biting at all. still work to do and will be having more sessions. but its now enjoyable having our pup 100% would recommend to anyone

Charlie Howell

The advice Martyn has given to us to help our Labrador Maggie has been fantastic. I feel that after 3 sessions, I now have the tools to carry on and work with her, to help her to be a more confident and hopefully a happier dog. So pleased that after thinking about getting help with her that I followed through, as it has been a great experience to see her improve and makes going out for a walk less of a battle.

Julie Illsley

Our Rottweiler puppy has benefited from Martyn’s training so much, we couldn’t be happier. She’s still learning but the improvement we saw with just a few adjustments to routine and handling has been phenomenal. I would highly recommend!!!

Rosie Kettle

We have so far taken 4 sessions with Martyn they have each been invaluable. Our Pointer puppy has benefitted hugely and so have my better half and I. His calm and structured approach to things instills us with confidence to know what we should be doing and the right way to achieve goals and this confidence then feeds through to Dotty. Can’t recommend his services highly enough!

 Simon Crossley

Martyn visited and provided great advice, tips and techniques to help us with our puppy. Lead control, house training and dominance issue. He was great with Percy, definitely showed him who is boss which ultimately is how it’s supposed to be. Thank you for your help. Highly recommended.

Karen McCarthy, Herne Bay

Martyn did our first session with our 2 doggies Prince and max. The advice given was extremely helpful and me and my partner feel like we have this now, a few more sessions and let’s hope the behaviours they show with Martyn help and support. We feel much more confident in managing and adapting to the changes that will be happening. Dramatic changes but now is the time to start! 😁 Brilliant trainer very informative and brilliant with us as well as my pooches thank you so much, highly recommend.

Jo Joiner, Herne Bay

Had the pleasure of Martyn helping us to understand our 3 dogs anxiety and how to control them together. One of which is a Weimaraner who I could not walk without yanking and pulling on my poorly back. For the first time in 2years I was able to walk her and actually enjoyed the walk. Learnt so much on how to read a dogs reaction which I took for granted before. Not to mention the mayhem of dogs barking with excitement when you walk through the front door. Thoroughly recommend Martyn and cannot thank Martyn enough for his help and proffesional advice. Looking forward to more calm, enjoyable walks with my companions. So, so grateful. So many human errors can now be rectified.

Pauline Davey, Herne Bay

Wow Martyn Stone was absolutely fabulous with our 3 dogs. He added order back in the pack, showed us how to cure excessive barking from all 3 dogs. Also guided us about the youngest at 8 months, so now he gets on better with other dogs and is more confident out and about. Martyn also advised us about food and new sleeping arrangements for the 3 dogs. It has worked brilliantly. Thank you Martyn.

I can highly recommend Martyn and I wish I had contacted him sooner than I did. My 16 month old gsd x lab had become lead aggressive and overly protective, which ended up in every dog owners worst nightmare, the dreaded bite!!
Martyn was really kind and understanding, he came out to us that day to assess Chester. His advice has proved to be invaluable and he has given me the tools and confidence to get Chester back on track.

We still have regular training sessions with Martyn and everyday I see an improvement in my dogs behaviour.

Thank you so much Martyn for all your help, I couldn’t of done it without you. Chester and I are looking forward to our next session.

Martin has been wonderful at training ME and my puppy who is a cockapoo . He is calm and assertive and has shown me the correct way to have a balanced and happy puppy . He was invaluable when I first had my 8 week old , I felt overwhelmed but he soon had us both on track . He is always there on the phone if I have a problem . Great service .

Martyn has been training us and our 11 month old staffy for a few months now. Since starting, our dog has shown a marked improvement in behaviour but her underlying character has remained unchanged – which is precisely the result we asked for. It’s also handy to know that Martyn is at the end of a phone should we need any additional help between training sessions. We really couldn’t recommend him highly enough. If you need some help with your canine companion look no further than CAS.

We contacted Martyn because we had some walking issues with our 2 dogs, after a couple of sessions we couldn’t believe the difference in them! He is a very knowledgeable man when it comes to all things canine! And always offered good advice when we asked him. We had some lovely walks with Martyn whilst training with good progress made every time, Martyn is definitely a professional dog trainer, firm but kind with a genuine love of dogs and very easy to get along with! So its a five star and highly recommended review from us

Just so pleased I made that telephone call to you! I had been struggling for quite sometime with Rori my adorable, excitable but anxious dog who constantly barked every time I went upstairs! There were other issues like pulling on the lead and barking if she wanted to go out for a walk! Overall my not being in control but feeling very much controlled by her.

Martyn has an amazing understanding of dogs and gave me the tools and knowledge that I needed to gain back control. After one visit from Martyn, Rori was no longer barking at me and after the 2nd visit I now have a dog who does not pull my left arm out of its socket!

I would highly recommend anyone who has a challenging dog or behaviour that they cant find away to deal with to give Martyn a call. He has made such a difference and I will definitely call him again if I have any more challenging behaviour, rather than struggle on myself!

Many thanks and best wishes!!

“After a difficult start with Teddy, I called Martyn at C.A.S for advice. He offered me reassurance, and gave me confidence that I had been following the correct procedures — He also provided me additional tips to help calm the puppy at night (for example: covering his crate, calming him before sleep, stand with back to puppy and do not speak, then walk away when he’s quiet). You advised me to give him space in his designated area so that I could carry on with various tasks. Things have settled down since, and he has learnt sit and stay at command. Onwards and upwards! Thank you Martyn.”

“We really appreciated the time Martyn spent with us before we bought Sam our puppy cockerpoo home, he told us things we hadn’t even thought about, even the breeder took it for granted we had. Thank you Martyn for all your advice and support”.

Martyn at CAS has made all the difference. We were seriously considering if we could cope for much longer with our 18 month old Springer Spaniel Ruby when all she really needed an outlet for all her enygy and now with her “search n play” game that Martyn calls it both her and our family are so much happier.

The Jones family, Deal, Kent

“Thanks to Martyn at CAS, we now feel a lot safer since we were burgled. We bought what we believed to be a personal protection dog; however, we were wrong! But after some careful guidance and continuing support from Martyn, our German shepherd, Storm, has become a safe and reliable family protector.”

The Haines Family, Canterbury, Kent

“Thank you so much for the invaluable tools, tips and training you’ve given to Frankie and me. I am much more prepared to respond appropriately to Frankie than I was before we met you. I’m more confident that I’m making the best choices for her and the other dogs. Frankie has made so much progress since I found her, but I’ve seen even more improvement since we started training with you.”
